Recurring Event Event Series: EMS High Performance Lab

EMS High Performance Lab

November 6 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

| $175

The High-Performance Lab (HPL) is an interactive laboratory focused on high-acuity, low-occurrence procedures for Advanced Life Support (ALS) EMS providers. The educational activity combines a required one-hour online didactic component with a four-hour in-person laboratory using fresh-frozen cadavers, pig tracheas, model tracheas, and manikins. Participants practice procedures demonstrated during the online and in-person instruction under physician supervision.

The 2026 HPL expands the hands-on curriculum to include obstetric emergencies and pediatric assessment and simulation. Skills addressed include surgical cricothyrotomy, intubation, difficult airway management using the SALAD technique, needle decompression, intraosseous access, complicated obstetric delivery care, and assessment and management of the critically ill pediatric patient.

Open to Paramedics and Paramedic students.  5 hours of EMS continuing education available.

Click here to view course flyer and registration information.

Morning (8 am – 12 pm) and afternoon (1 pm – 5 pm) sessions available.
